New Hardboard Photo Tiles

Our new Hard board photo tiles are here. Lighter in weight than ceramic tiles we have come up with some interesting uses for them.

Our first project was the photo tile clocks that you can see ealier in our blog.

The second use was to create a 24 inch by 24 inch wall mural using (4) 12by12 hardboard photo tiles.

We like using them because they are lightweight and do not need to be framed. We found some repositionable adhesive tabs to use on the back of the tiles and hung them in our office. The great thing was, that we could move the tiles around without damaging the walls. Not needing to be framed (because they have finished black edges) allowed us to save some money because we did not have to frame the mural. We love the look.

Hardboard photo tiles can be ordered individually or in groups to make up a larger wall mural.

This is a very cool product.

Hello once again a new product idea is launched because of an image. Our dear friend, (starving college student) Kayla Gomme sent us an image of an owl and an eagle. We were so blown away we had to come up with a product to use them on. So naturally we thought of clocks.

Custom Glass floor tiles

A friend emailed me today with an image of a concrete floor tile with a gorgeous floral pattern. I was amazed at the price of $75.00 a sq ft. So I started thinking about our floor tiles and the fact that I haven't written about them.

Our tiles are the first dye-sublimation photo glass floor tiles to meet ANSI and ASTM standards for residential AND commercial wall or FLOOR applications. At $33.00 a square foot they are an amazing alternative to traditional flooring.

Just imagine being able to to design your own floor. Residential customers could custom design an entrance way. (I did an image of a blue heron in my old house -- heron's landing, FL.)

Corporate entities, retail stores, and restaurants now have a way of dressing up their entrances into their buildings.

Childs Handprint Photo Tile

Here's a fun project for schools or for parents:

Create a photo tile of kids handprints.

Have the kids handprint scanned using a standard photocopier. (At least one parent will probably own an all in one photo printer, copier,scanner.) Hook it up to the schools computer, and place a clear plastic sheet on the copier/scanner glass bed. (This will keep the scanner bed clear of handprints.)

Scan the kids handprint.

Using Photoshop Elements or some other art program create a color overlay of the handprint.

Add the childs name and add drop shadows etc.

Send us the final artwork to have your childs handprint printed on ceramic or glass tile.
